Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
• Two years MA experience preferred.
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• Experience with team-based care models.
• Care coordination or case management experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and obtain medical history, vitals and injections/immunizations.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, and conduct EKGs.
• Support minor in-office procedures and wound care/dressing changes.
• Administer medications per provider protocol and standing orders.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up, assisting with chronic disease management.
• Assist with prior authorizations and partner with care team to close care gaps.
