Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Commercial Analyst to develop cost estimates for quotations and bids, and to craft pricing strategies using ERP data and market insights. You will monitor margins, identify profit opportunities, and lead price-change mechanisms while managing key customer relationships.

The role requires a BS degree and 3+ years of pricing/analytical experience, with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree required.
• 3+ years of commercial analyst experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Understanding of P&L basics.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and drive pricing decisions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and pricing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates and pricing for quotations and bids.
• Analyze market prices, plant capacity, profitability, and raw material trends.
• Lead pricing targets and margins improvement initiatives.
• Maintain customer relationships and perform ad hoc analyses for management.
