Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Hartsville, SC / Charlotte, NC is seeking a Commercial Analyst to develop cost estimates and pricing strategies for quotations and bids. You will analyze market prices, plant capacity, profitability, and raw material trends to align pricing with market strategies.

You will lead margin improvement initiatives and oversee price change mechanisms while maintaining key customer relationships and delivering ad hoc analyses for division management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial analyst experience.
• BS degree required.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for quotation/bid processes using ERP and approved models.
• Develop pricing strategy by analyzing market prices, plant capacity, profitability and raw material trends.
• Monitor margins and drive margin improvement initiatives.
• Lead design and execution of customer price change mechanisms.
• Maintain key customer relationships and perform ad hoc analysis for division management.
