Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Director & Actuary to join the Global Specialty US Actuarial Pricing team supporting the Financial Lines portfolio. You will lead pricing for Professional Liability E&O, collaborate with underwriting, finance, and claims, and manage two analysts.

Hybrid work in Hartford CT, Chicago IL, or Charlotte NC, with travel as needed. Ideal candidates have FCAS preferred, 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience, and strong communication and leadership skills to influence senior

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Property and Casualty Insurance Actuarial experience.
• Financial Lines (E&O, D&O, EPL, Cyber) experience is preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Mathematics/Actuarial Science or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support rate development and price monitoring.
• Conduct loss-ratio planning and profitability studies for Professional Liability E&O.
• Develop and maintain pricing models and price-monitoring tools.
