Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Sr Actuarial Analyst to join the Global Specialty US Actuarial pricing team, supporting Financial Lines including Professional Line E&O and Cyber. The role partners with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and IT to develop pricing methods and indicated premiums.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, pricing tool development, and profitability analysis; requires 2+ years P&C actuarial experience and passing exams; hybrid office presence in Hartford, CT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Sr Actuarial Analyst: 3+ passed exams to credentialed actuary.
• Actuarial experience: 2+ years in Property & Casualty.
• Actuarial pricing and reserving knowledge.
• Strong technical skills; Excel required; R/Python preferred.
• General knowledge of P&C operations.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning and budgeting including trend analyses.
• Develop and maintain pricing methodologies and tools for underwriting.
• Analyze pricing results and benchmarks.
• Review internal pricing vs. competitors and profitability.
• Contribute to price monitoring systems; collaborate with teams.
• Partner with Actuarial and business partners to guide strategy.
