Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Director & Actuary for the Global Specialty US Actuarial Pricing team to lead pricing for Financial Lines Professional Liability E&O. You will develop pricing strategies, evaluate profitability, and partner with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and IT while supervising two actuarial analysts.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• FCAS preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support rate development, price monitoring, loss-ratio planning and profitability studies.
• Develop pricing strategies that drive profitable growth and monitor internal pricing performance and market trends.
• Communicate analyses and recommendations to senior leaders and collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and IT.
• Manage two actuarial analysts or associates and provide coaching and development.
• Support semiannual reserve studies and rate filings where applicable.
