Job summary

The Hartford in Chicago is seeking a Director & Actuary to lead the Global Specialty US Actuarial Pricing team for Professional Liability E&O within our pricing organization.

You will develop pricing strategies, analyze profitability, and communicate recommendations to senior leaders while managing two actuarial analysts. This role supports hybrid work across hub offices in Hartford, Chicago, or Charlotte with remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• FCAS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Property and Casualty Actuarial experience.
• Experience with Financial Lines (E&O, D&O, EPL, Cyber) preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support rate development and price monitoring.
• Analyze profitability and support profitable growth.
• Develop and maintain pricing models.
• Support rate filings and semiannual reserve studies.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, IT and other teams.
