Kin Insurance seeks a Pricing & Risk Analyst to help identify profitable growth by state and segment. You will work with state managers to turn policy, quote, and claims data into pricing recommendations.

This entry-level role uses Databricks Genie, Claude Code, and MCP-enabled workflows to explore data, automate recurring tasks, and deliver clear charts for pricing and risk teams. You’ll learn insurance metrics, pricing, and segmentation while collaborating with experienced colleagues to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational SQL and Excel skills.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and insights.
• Hands-on experience using AI for analytics and with Claude Code, Databricks Genie, MCP workflows.
• Ability to explain findings clearly and stay curious.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, new business, premium, retention, and loss experience.
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution channels to surface growth opportunities.
• Evaluate how rate changes, underwriting rules, and business mix shifts could affect growth and profitability.
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data and Claude Code to write SQL queries and scripts.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk teams; develop recommendations with experienced colleagues.
• Measure performance after pricing changes go live.
