Job summary

U-Haul in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Rates and Distribution Analyst to set and adjust truck, trailer, and towing prices across the U.S. and Canada. You will analyze market data, review competitors, and partner with regional teams to optimize fleet distribution and revenue.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, strong Excel skills, and Power BI usage. Local office work required with occasional travel; a Marketing/Analytics related degree is helpful but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to work with data and turn it into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Solid Excel skills (Pivot Tables) to analyze raw data.
• Experience using Power BI to track key metrics and support data-driven decisions.
• Comfortable using internal query tools to dig into data and understand trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration with field/leadership partners.
• Able to work in the Phoenix, AZ office five days a week.
• A degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field is helpful but not required; U-Haul experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set and adjust prices for truck, trailer, and towing products to optimize transactions and revenue.
• Review market data, competitors, and customer behavior to decide on prices and promotions.
• Work with regional teams to improve where equipment is located for customer access.
• Look for opportunities to consolidate equipment, improve routes, and streamline processes.
• Set one-way and local rates to keep equipment well utilized while meeting revenue goals.
• Identify underused equipment and plan moves to better locations to prevent pileups.
• Analyze past performance data and share findings with leadership to support planning and forecasting.
