Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an analytics/accounting professional in Phoenix to analyze system processes, design enhancements, and act as a liaison between accounting users and programming staff. Responsibilities include developing flow charts, preparing documentation, and ensuring data integrity while generating reliable reports for management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 1–3 years of analytics required; strong Excel and accounting system knowledge plus SQL/Access preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in analytics, computers and/or accounting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience creating flow charts and process documentation is highly preferred.
• Expert-level knowledge of computer systems and functionality, especially Excel and at least one accounting system.
• Prefer Access and SQL experience.
• Must have excellent research and analysis skills, be able to work in a group and independently, and be detail oriented.
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must have time management skills and be able to shift workload with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system processes for process improvements and recommendations.
• Design, test and implement system processes.
• Work as accounting liaison between accounting users and programming staff.
• Identify and coordinate development of financial systems program enhancements and modifications.
• Manage system data and verify data accuracy initially and monitor as updates or changes occur to ensure data integrity.
• Generate reports and review for reliability.
• Plan, coordinate and/or implement user support services such as training, documentation and communications.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
• Write detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by system personnel.
