Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company in Columbia, SC, is seeking a pricing analyst to lead forecasting, contract strategies, deals and pricing initiatives for major oil accounts.

You will partner with internal stakeholders, develop trade agreements, analyze pricing data, and drive timely pricing actions while leveraging Excel, PowerBI, and SQL.

Qualifications

• College degree-4 year required.
• 2+ years of work experience in pricing, marketing, revenue management or finance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerBI).
• Ability to manage complex projects and analyze data to solve issues.
• SQL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trade agreements for major oil accounts and customers.
• Validate pricing using internal and external resources to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align pricing strategies with customer expectations.
• Plan, modify, and create trade agreements and pricing initiatives.
• Analyze deals to determine pricing and drive process improvements.
• Develop and maintain promo codes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely turnaround for pricing initiatives and identify improvement tools.
• Audit sales orders to identify discrepancies and document findings.
• Drive pricing analytics and support continued revenue growth.
• Identify opportunities to optimize transactional processes and technology.

Purpose of Position

Pricing analysts are responsible for leading the implementation of robust forecasting, contract strategies, deals, and pricing requirements into our current ERP system to help drive revenue and growth. In this role you will collaborate closely with Internal stakeholders to implement strategic pricing vision for our major oil accounts. The pricing analyst is a key resource who plays a crucial role in driving cash flow improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trade agreements for major oil accounts, internal, and external customers.
• Demonstrate proficiency in navigating all internal and external resources to validate and ensure accurate pricing.
• Team with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies align with customer’s expectations.
• Exercise judgement and discretion to properly plan, modify, and create trade agreements and pricing initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze, determine, and execute process improvements.
• Analyze deals for accurate pricing.
• Develop and maintain promo codes to aid internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive timely and accurate turnaround for all pricing initiatives.
• Identify transactional process improvements and technology tools.
• Audit sales orders to identify discrepancies, document findings, and implement change.

Background and Skill

• College degree-4 year required.
• 2+ years of work experience preferably in a pricing, marketing, revenue management or financial function.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerBI)
• Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously.
• The ability to analyze data and quickly find solutions to solve complex issues.
• Ability to manage multiple sources of information and make independent, timely, and accurate decisions.
• Effective in building and maintaining relationships.
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations.
• Project Management experience (Plus)
• SQL experience preferred

The base compensation range for this position is $68,000 to $82,300 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
