Job summary

AmeriServe seeks a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to service commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, and related systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of gas, electric, steam, and refrigeration equipment while delivering responsive customer support.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with technical training in appliance repair/HVAC; EPA 608/CFESA certs are a plus. Strong safety awareness and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 0–2 years repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems; read manuals/schematics.
• EPA 608 and CFESA certs are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Background screening required.
• Able to lift heavy equipment; work in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Time management; work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance for gas, electric, water, steam-powered kitchen, refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair procedures and solutions.
• Ensure safety compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed service reports and invoices; submit promptly.
• Manage inventory and keep truck stock up-to-date.
• Stay updated on industry trends and training.
