Job summary

Hydro Extrusions, a global aluminium extrusion leader, seeks a Preventive Maintenance (PM) Supervisor to lead the plant's reliability-centered maintenance program for presses, cast house equipment, ovens, and the paint line.

You will manage PM technicians, plan daily priorities, and use CMMS data to drive continuous improvement, improve MTBF, reduce downtime, and support production goals while ensuring safety and LOTO compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the preventive maintenance program for Hydro extrusion presses (Presses 81-85) and associated equipment.
• Oversee preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, accumulators, billet loaders, stretchers, runout tables, and related line equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance across cast house operations, furnaces, casting pits, cooling systems, and saws.
• Supervise PM technicians, assign priorities, and develop workforce capabilities.
• Ensure safety, LOTO procedures, and maintenance SOPs are followed.

What you will be doing

Job Summary:

The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Supervisor is responsible for leading and executing the plant's reliability-centered preventive maintenance strategy to maximize equipment uptime, asset reliability, and operational efficiency. This role oversees a team of PM technicians responsible for maintaining Hydro aluminum extrusion presses, cast house equipment, age ovens, and paint line operations. The PM Supervisor ensures preventive maintenance activities are completed safely, effectively, and on schedule while driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce unplanned downtime, improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and support production goals. Acting as a key liaison between maintenance and operations, this position leverages CMMS data, equipment performance metrics, and preventive maintenance best practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the preventive maintenance program for Hydro extrusion presses (Presses 81, 82, 83, 84, and 85) to ensure critical systems are inspected, serviced, and maintained.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities on hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, accumulators, billet loaders, stretchers, and runout tables.
• Monitor equipment tolerances, alignment, lubrication schedules, and operating conditions to prevent failures and maintain product quality.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities across cast house operations, including furnaces, casting pits, cooling systems, and saws.
• Ensure proper maintenance of age ovens, heating systems, temperature controls, circulation equipment, and safety interlocks.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and inspections for paint line equipment, including pretreatment systems, application booths, cure ovens, and conveyors.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of PM technicians while assigning daily priorities and supporting workforce development.
• Conduct daily planning meetings and coordinate maintenance priorities with production and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintenance SOPs.
• Utilize CMMS systems to create, assign, track, and close preventive maintenance work orders.
• Analyze maintenance records, PM compliance metrics, and equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Track reliability metrics including MTBF and PM completion rates to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
