Job summary

Amcor in Phoenix, AZ seeks a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, complete PM schedules, and ensure safety and quality compliance. The role requires basic technical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining maintenance records, communicating with supervisors, and ensuring clean, safe work areas in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have own tools and be available for overtime.
  • Able to work in a production environment around moving mechanical parts.
  • Capable of physically lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with mold preventative maintenance inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled lubrication and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and buildings.
  • Complete PM schedules for all facilities equipment.
  • Keep equipment area clean and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Maintain PM record database and update ISO/SQF records.
  • Monitor and close work orders in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Supervisors and technicians clearly and regularly.

Job Description

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all production equipment and machines to ensure performance as required including the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Perform scheduled lubrication of plant-wide equipment and perform preventive maintenance on machines and building equipment.

Complete PM schedule for all facilities equipment including

Cleans under and around machines.

Ensures proper housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment area.

Keep accurate records/ paperwork according to established recordkeeping procedures.

Communicate effectively with Supervisors, technicians and various production personnel.

Maintain PM record database as required by ISO system Includes preventive and predictive maintenance

Monitor and complete all work orders in a timely manner

Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience. Must have excellent attendance and a good work record. Must be familiar with mold preventative maintenance inspections. Must have good housekeeping skills. Must have good knowledge of mold components. Must have own tools and be available to work overtime. Must have creative problem-solving ability. Must be able to work independently with some supervision. Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, climbing, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 75 pounds periodically). Able to work in a production environment, around moving mechanical parts, recognizing various sounds and alarms. Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.

Education and/or Experience:

One-year College or university program certificate; or three to six month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to work with basic mathematical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

First Shift 8 Hours Monday - Friday (May require some overtime)

Pay range starts at $24.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
