Job summary

Amcor in Oklahoma City is seeking a skilled technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems on production equipment. The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records of completed tasks.

Qualifications

• Possess functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair on manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment mechanically and electrically.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work areas.
• Keep records of work completed.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.

• Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs and/or replacements of mechanisms such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, nozzle heaters, conveyor belts, drives, low voltage, and high voltage electrical systems.

• Performs preventative maintenance in the facility, infrastructure, and equipment.

• Able to keep records of work completed in work order system and communicate within the department and other departments.

• Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas.

• Able to understand and follow food safety requirements per the SQF standard.

• Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.

• Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance and/or two years of experience, preferred.

• Possess functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with one year minimum practical application.

• Possess basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools.

• Working knowledge of PLC’s required.

• Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook

• Programming experience preferred.
