Flaherty & Collins Construction is hiring a Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Specialist in Kansas City, MO to ensure payroll and prevailing wage compliance on regulated projects.

You will prepare and submit weekly reports, review contracts, reconcile subcontractor submissions, and support audits with strong attention to detail. This role requires collaboration with project teams and construction accounting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with certified payroll reporting or Davis-Bacon Act requirements.
• Familiarity with wage determinations and fringe benefit calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience with payroll software and construction accounting concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and submit weekly certified payroll reports for applicable projects.
• Review contracts to identify certified payroll, prevailing wage, and reporting requirements.
• Collect and reconcile subcontractor certified payroll submissions for accuracy.
• Monitor wage determinations and fringe benefits; communicate updates to teams.
• Track missing or non-compliant payroll submissions and follow up with subcontractors.
• Maintain certified payroll records and supporting documentation per requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for certified payroll audits and information requests.
• Train subcontractors and project teams on payroll requirements and corrections.
