Synectics Inc. is seeking a Prevailing Wage Program Administrator in Detroit to oversee compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws.

The role includes managing wage determinations, reviewing certified payrolls, and conducting audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to Davis-Bacon Act and related regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong labor compliance knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to train contractors and internal staff on wage requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in public administration, HR, business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in labor compliance, payroll administration, and/or contract management.
• Experience with public works or government contracting preferred.
• Experience in contract management that includes Organized Labor Agreements; union labor; and fringe benefits.
• In-depth knowledge of prevailing wage laws and labor compliance regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll/compliance software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws and regulations.
• Manage wage determinations and review certified payrolls.
• Audit payroll records and labor classifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as liaison between contractors, government agencies, and internal departments.
• Provide training and guidance on prevailing wage requirements to contractors and staff.
• Maintain records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
• Investigate wage complaints or discrepancies and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
