Job summary

RR Donnelley in West Bend, WI seeks an Army MOS 83F Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 3rd shift. You will prepare the press, verify job specs, and set up the press for production.

The role involves inspecting ink systems and paper rolls, maintaining paper inventory, and collaborating with press operators to keep quality and safety at the forefront. Experience in printing and teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience with hand tools preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the press by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspect fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintain inventory of paper and record usage and spoilage.
• Ensure roll of paper is unwrapped, mounted and ready to splice.
• Monitor paper flow and install new rolls as needed.
• Work with press operators and other Press Assistants in preventive maintenance.
• Assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairs.
• May assist with make-readies.
• May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to maintain color as required.
• Follow safety policies including handling of hazardous waste and lock out-tag out procedures.
• Follow ISO quality process requirements.
