Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in North Carolina is seeking a Team Lead - Press for the 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:30am) with OT as needed. You will lead the production line, assign work, monitor progress, enforce PPE and safety, and serve as back-up for the supervisor.

The role emphasizes SAP workflows, paperwork accuracy, training, and collaboration with other departments to sustain on-time production and a clean, safe workplace. You will also drive housekeeping and ensure quality throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 90 days of employment.
• Internal candidates must be in good standing (no more than 1 active disciplinary write-up and no more than 1 attendance point).
• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required.
• Previous SAP experience preferred or the ability to learn SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production line to ensure product is produced according to schedule.
• Provide work assignments, daily production paperwork, and monitor progress of production staff.
• Verify production paperwork is completed and accurate.
• Complete confirmations in SAP.
• Print Work Orders.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe, with proper housekeeping.
• Redirect employees that are off task or out of area.
• Replenish consumables as needed.
• Assist supervisor with monitoring employees during breaks and shift changes.
• Provide honest, timely feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance.
• Lead pre-shift/tier 1 meetings when needed.
• Monitor and address quality of parts produced by casters and retrain as needed.
• Maintain good working relationships with other departments.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure the team follows them.
