Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Team Lead for the Press department on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–10:30pm). You will assign work, monitor progress, enforce PPE and safety, and back up the supervisor during absences.

You will train new associates, lead production to meet schedules, manage paperwork, and coordinate with SAP for confirmations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead a team.
• Must be able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have completed at least 90 days of employment.
• Previous SAP experience (preferred) or the ability to learn SAP.
• Previous Office 365 experience (preferred) or the ability to learn the basics of email (Outlook), Teams, Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required.
• Internal Candidates: Must be in good standing (no more than 1 active disciplinary write-up and no more than 1 attendance point).

Responsibilities

• Understand Press processes and run the press; back up for the process technician as needed.
• Capable of training new associates on processes and procedures.
• Lead production line to ensure product is produced according to schedule.
• Provide daily production paperwork and monitor progress of production staff.
• Verify production paperwork is completed and accurate.
• Complete confirmations in SAP.
• View and Understand planned schedule; Print Work Orders.
• Complete and email pass down notes, end of shift reports and effectivity sheet.
• Ensure work areas are kept free of unnecessary objects; maintain housekeeping.
• Redirect employees that are off task or out of area.
• Replenish consumables as needed.
• Assist supervisor with monitoring employees' breaks and attendance.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance and improvement opportunities.
• Lead pre-shift/tier 1 meetings when needed.
• Monitor quality of parts produced and retrain as needed.
• Maintain good relations with other departments.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and enforce team compliance.
• Other job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
