Position Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Operate and troubleshoot warm forging presses to produce differential gears. Use gauges and visual inspections to ensure parts meet customer requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Utilize hand and power tools.
  2. Change out and replace die sets.
  3. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examine the form and texture of parts.
  4. Identify sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  5. Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  6. Support the definition and maintenance of equipment specifications, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication standards.
  7. Recalibrate presses.
  8. Read process drawings and print readings.
  9. Adjust and verify die heights.
Skills Required:
  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot failures.
  • Forklift operation.
Experience Required:
