Job summary

Armstrong World Industries’ Steel Ceilings plant in Johnstown, OH is seeking a full-time machine operator. You will set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification, select tooling, and work from blueprints and work orders.

The role requires prior manufacturing and machine operator experience, and preference for those with press brake or metal fabrication equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing and machine operator experience required.
• Experience operating a press brake or metal fabrication equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Ability to learn additional production machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification.
• Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and job requirements.
• Cut and form components from blueprint specifications and/or work orders to required tolerances.
• Identify machine requirements for each specific job.
• Perform routine machine troubleshooting and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect, measure, and verify final parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
