Steel Ceilings, Inc., a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is hiring a Machine Operator in Johnstown, OH. You will set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification, and work with steel and aluminum components.

This role emphasizes quality assurance, safety, and flexibility to assist in other production areas. Our team values hands-on skills, reliability, and the ability to read blueprints and production orders.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing and machine operator experience required.
• Experience operating a press brake or metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials and fabrication processes.
• Ability to learn additional production machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification.
• Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and job requirements.
• Cut and form components from blueprint specifications and/or work orders to required tolerances.
• Work with steel, aluminum, and various curved or angled parts.
• Identify machine requirements for each specific job.
• Perform routine machine troubleshooting and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Package finished parts and prepare materials for shipment or next production stage.
• Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed, including operation of turrets, panel benders, presses, or other machinery upon training.
• Support company Mission, Vision, and Values as part of the team.
• Attend required training sessions and comply with all company policies and procedures.
