Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking an experienced Advanced Machine Operator to set up and run a Bruck perforating press in our Johnstown, Ohio metal fabrication facility. You will own the machine on shift, ensure tight tolerances, and troubleshoot issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.

We seek a mechanically skilled professional with 3–5+ years of press experience, capable of reading blueprints, and performing precise setups and changeovers.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of industrial press operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with high-speed perforating presses preferred.
• Ability to perform machine setups and changeovers independently.
• Strong troubleshooting in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate the Bruck perforating press.
• Prepare tooling, punches, dies, gagbars, feed systems, and clamping devices.
• Program or adjust machine controls and parameters.
• Perform complete machine setup and changeovers on the Bruck perforating press.
• Install and align die-based perforation tooling.
• Configure feed systems, material alignment, and stroke settings.
• Adjust parameters within Bruck control software (training provided).
• Conduct first-piece validation and make precision adjustments prior to production release.
