Job summary

MCC is seeking a Press Operator Assistant to support printing presses, ensure adherence to customer specifications, and assist in setup and changeovers. The role requires reliability, basic measurement skills, and comfort with physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with changeovers, cleaning equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, and print shop experience is helpful but not essential; the job

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Print shop experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (pass ruler test).
• Ability to pass an eye test (20/20).
• Ability to differentiate colors (color test).
• Data input skills on computer.
• Ability to work in a team under tight deadlines.
• Must stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Meet defined job objectives for planning and execution of jobs.
• Assist in setup and changeover of labels on presses.
• Clean up after changeovers and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Locate dies to and from press and stage materials.
• Assist operator to view labels with a strobe light if needed.
• Ensure quality as per customer and MCC specifications.
• Complete QA sheets and documentation as required.
• Work overtime as needed and participate in special projects.
