Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Presort Associate 1 for our Reading, PA facility. The role trains you to prepare outgoing mail, review postage, and ensure barcode accuracy before production. You will monitor quality, operate equipment, and assist with inbound/outbound processing.

The position offers $16.88 per hour, with a $1.00/hr shift premium for 2nd shift, full-time hours, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package. Overtime including weekends may be required.

• Previous Pitney Bowes warehouse mail sorter experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail with correct date, postage, and barcodes
• Identify and communicate errors; recognize bad barcodes
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams
• Monitor mail quality before processing and before dispatch
• Understand USPS labels, matching bin numbers to tray numbers
• Follow Quality Management System practices for output quality
• Ensure equipment is running properly and assist with inbound/outbound mail processing
• Be aware of acceptance times and truck departure schedules
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety policies
