Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor for a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build literacy and math skills. You'll work with a teacher to deliver proven activities, talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing to foster confidence and essential early learning.

We train you and coach you along the way, with 35 hours per week, daytime hours, Monday–Friday. AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly stipend of $17.94 per hour served and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
