Job summary

Ampact, through the Early Learning Corps program, seeks an Early Learning Tutor to support preschoolers in a pre-kindergarten classroom. You’ll help deliver proven activities, coach by example, and partner with a teacher to strengthen early literacy and math skills.

You’ll work 35 hours weekly (Mon-Fri, daytime) during the 2026-27 school year, with part-time options. AmeriCorps pay includes a stipend and benefits, plus education assistance.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent; U.S. citizen or eligible resident.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
