Job summary

Early Learning Corps, powered by AmeriCorps and administered by Ampact, seeks an Early Learning Tutor to support pre-kindergarten students in the classroom. You’ll deliver proven activities, coach with an on-site mentor, and help children build early literacy and numeracy skills.

Join a program that emphasizes growth through coaching and training, with a biweekly stipend and a path to contribute to the community. Position runs for the 2026-27 school year with part-time options also available.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support preschoolers with learning activities thoughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
