Job summary

The Council-On-Rural-Service-Programs is seeking a full-time Head Start Teacher to collaborate with the care team to plan and deliver a preschool program that prepares children for kindergarten. You will work with children and families daily, organize learning activities, and ensure a safe, engaging environment.

A CDA or enrollment in a paid CDA program is required with a high school diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or enrolled in CDA program within two years.
• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA credential or enrollment supported by employer funding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement the Head Start program.
• Assist in daily center classroom operations with children and parents.
• Ensure child safety and maintain a healthy, organized learning environment.
• Support family engagement and male involvement activities throughout the program year.
