Job summary

Cadence Education in Walpole, MA is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs under the supervision of the School Director. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children, including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Ability to obtain background clearances and health screenings.
• CDA preferred but not required if state licensing requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs (IEPs and behavioral plans).
• Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents accordingly.
• Assist with managing escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence policies in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
