Job summary

Cadence Education in Brookfield, CT is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs in a licensed childcare center. Under supervision, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment and support children’s developmental needs, including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred, but not required if state licensing requirements are met.
• Must meet minimum experience and education requirements for the state of employment.
• Prior early childhood or classroom experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families and foster welcoming relationships.
• Support developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Follow Cadence Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook policies and participate in meetings and trainings.
