Cadence Education in Ashburn, VA is hiring a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and assist with Cadence Education programs and curricula.

The role emphasizes supporting children’s developmental needs, following IEPs and behavior plans, and collaborating with families and staff to promote growth, safety, and a love of learning.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Experience in early childhood or classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including following IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support staff with developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and document incidents as required.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors according to Cadence procedures.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as scheduled.
