Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities and Cadence Education programs under the supervision of the School Director. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment and meeting diverse developmental needs, including those with IEPs.

Ideal candidates engage in supportive teamwork, follow state licensing requirements, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Background clearances and health screenings required.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are met.
• Experience in early childhood or licensed childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment for every child.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist with individual developmental and learning needs, following IEPs and plans.
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence tools.
• Document and report accidents and incidents per policy.
• Support staff in managing and reporting escalated child behaviors.
