Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs, including those with IEPs.

Under the direction of the School Director and classroom leadership, you will assist with daily activities while ensuring safety and licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Follow safety procedures including Name-to-Face accountability and Safe Sleep practices.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a classroom team.
• Read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment where every child is treated with care and dignity.
• Greet children and families daily to build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, following IEPs and behavior plans as directed.
• Support planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents per policy.
• Assist with documenting and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies and Employee Handbook guidelines.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, possibly outside regular hours.
