Job summary

Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to spend days in a pre-kindergarten classroom helping students build skills and confidence. We train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way, partnering with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing.

Hours are aligned with the school schedule; positions include full-time stipend arrangements with AmeriCorps education awards.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Dependable with a good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with community.
