Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to help preschoolers build literacy and math skills in a pre-kindergarten classroom. You’ll deliver structured activities, coach students, and collaborate with a teacher to enhance learning outcomes.

Role focuses on friendly interaction, daily progress tracking, and ongoing growth through coaching. Part of AmeriCorps, the program offers a funded stipend and opportunities to contribute to a community-serving mission.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback for improvement.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen or eligible to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with daily learning activities.
• Track progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Record student scores in tracking software.
• Engage in coaching and training to grow professionally.
