Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, helping students build early literacy and math skills and confidence. You'll be trained to deliver proven activities, coached each step of the way, and paired with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing and play.

The role is part of AmeriCorps, with a biweekly stipend and opportunities for further education awards, and full support from an on-site coach,

Qualifications

• Fluent English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support learners with daily activities and learning targets.
• Track student progress and meet with an on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in tracking software.
• Engage in ongoing growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
