Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, delivering proven activities and coaching students to build early literacy and numeracy skills.

You’ll partner with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing or playing, track progress with the on-site coach, and use tracking software. AmeriCorps stipends are provided.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support reschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
