Job summary

Carlisle Community School District is seeking a para-educator to support students under the direction of teachers and building administration. You will assist with IEP accommodations, administer and record tests, and work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning within a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work.
• Able to function within a school environment.
• Must clear criminal and child abuse background check.
• Para-educator Generalist Certificate with Early Childhood emphasis or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-employment certification of good health.

Responsibilities

• Provide accommodations per students' IEPs and directed by teaching staff.
• Administer, score and record achievement and diagnostic tests as directed.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Facilitate inclusion of students with disabilities into general education.
• Supervise guided or independent practice in the classroom.
• Support students with routine procedures such as snack, lunch, cleanup, and hand-washing.
