The Whatcom Family YMCA seeks caring, energetic individuals to support preschool programs in an early learning setting. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, foster safe, engaging play, and build positive relationships with children and families while promoting inclusive practice.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, experience in an Early Learning Center, and the ability to engage diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in an Early Learning Center.
• Ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse communities.
• Bonus if you have early childhood education experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Training: Praesidium Child Abuse Prevention Training upon hire.
• CPR/AED and First Aid (Adult, Infant & Child) within 2 months.
• STARS 30-Hour Childcare Basic Training within 3 months.
• ECE Short Certificate or equivalent (approx. 20 credits).
