YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Childcare Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a year-round program. The role focuses on a child-centered, inclusive curriculum designed to help children have fun, grow, and thrive while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

The position requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain state certifications and complete background checks.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Washington State Initial stackable certification (enroll upon hire).
• At least 1 year of child care experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, TB Test, Food Handler’s Card, Childcare Basic STARS, MMR vaccine, Merit account may be required.

Mansioni

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the curriculum.
• Prepare and organize the classroom and materials.
• Maintain site and equipment; follow cleaning procedures.
• Engage families at events and maintain positive relations with parents.
• Promote inclusive, equitable environment and comply with state licensing standards.
