Job summary

Hart County Schools seeks an Instructional Assistant-Preschool to support certified staff in achieving instructional goals. You will reinforce reading and math, assist with assessments, and help manage classroom activities to keep students on task.

Role includes supervising non-instructional activities, aiding field trips, and assisting with IEP-related support to promote inclusive education for all learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of college coursework or exam as required by No Child Left Behind Act.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in classroom activities and with students.
• Support reading, language arts, math, and other learning activities.
• Assist with preparation of instructional materials and assessments.
• Document student performance and behavior notes.
• Support supervision during non-instructional times (lunch, bus duty, playground).
• Assist with field trips and parent contact as needed.
• Support students with special needs to maximize inclusion and learning.
