Job summary

Spring Education Group is seeking a reliable Maintenance Service Technician to support multiple preschool locations in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. You will repair, inspect, and maintain facilities, assist with equipment setup, and coordinate with vendors to keep schools operating smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of maintenance experience, a HS diploma or GED, and strong communication and customer-service skills. Some after-hours availability and driving between sites required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
• Must pass state background checks and fingerprint clearance.
• Able to respond to after-hours emergencies when needed.
• 2+ years of general maintenance in multi-site environments.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs occasionally).
• Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify facility needs and safety risks.
• Support classroom operations by assisting with equipment setup and events.
• Complete minor playground, landscaping, fencing, and grounds repairs.
• Monitor and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, alarms, and vehicles.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors and maintain records of visits.
