Job summary

PLS is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH to support all area store locations. You will initiate, perform, and oversee preventive maintenance and small improvement projects.

This role reports to the Director of Operations and requires working a full-time 40-hour week. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of maintenance experience, can perform basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting tasks, holds a valid driver’s license, and can travel within the region including

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with basic electrical, carpentry, simple plumbing, and painting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work an 8-hour shift, 40 hours a week.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Travel within PLS market area of Cleveland OH, Columbus OH & Cincinnati OH with occasional travel to Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, perform and oversee maintenance projects for all area PLS store locations.
• Perform repairs such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting assignments.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and in a timely manner.
• Develop scopes of work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work.
• Obtain estimates for supplies repair parts, and order parts as needed.
