Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is hiring an Education Assistant for Early Adventures - Childcare at FAIR Pilgrim Lane Elementary School. The position provides engaged supervision for preschoolers, aligns with classroom plans, and supports the teaching team to foster an inclusive learning environment.

The role emphasizes safe supervision of preschool children, classroom ratios, and collaborative effort to implement daily plans. Summer work is optional, with a 32.5-hour week across 42 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Successful experience working with preschool-age children.
• Must be able to see and hear children to keep them safe in childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Support children with what they need while actively participating in classroom ratios and activities.
• Collaborate with staff team to provide individualized attention and encouragement.
• Assist in implementing student success plans and behavior strategies as part of a collaborative team.
• Help monitor progress and provide input on student development for all students.
• Promote positive social-emotional and cognitive growth through nurturing, play based interaction.
• Support daily routines, classroom management, and transitions.
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment that aligns with program policies and DHS certified center standards.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors regarding student needs and progress.
