Job summary

CCS Early Learning in Palmer, AK, is seeking a Preschool Classroom Aide for our Palmer Center Head Start program. You will assist the teacher, help deliver developmentally appropriate activities, and support health, nutrition, and education initiatives for enrolled children.

The role requires teamwork, flexibility, and a valid driver’s license; physical ability to lift 50 pounds is expected. May require working additional hours with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six months experience caring for preschool children.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver's License, current auto insurance and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM AIDE (Palmer Center Head Start) - To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role, providing and carrying out developmentally appropriate activities and care. To promote the health, nutrition, and education of the children enrolled in our Head Start programs and to attend to their safety and welfare.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six months experience caring for preschool children preferably in a classroom

High school diploma or GED Ability to work as team member with staff and parents Flexibility to work additional hours appreciated Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds Valid Driver's License, current auto insurance and a good driving record
