Job summary

CCS Early Learning in Wasilla is seeking a Preschool Classroom Aide to support the teacher with age-appropriate activities and daily care for children in Head Start.

The role emphasizes teamwork with staff and parents, safety, nutrition, and educational activities, with full-time option and a benefits package described by the program.

Qualifications

• Six months experience caring for preschool children preferably in a classroom.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work as a team member with staff and parents.
• Flexibility to work additional hours appreciated.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver's License, current auto insurance and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM AIDE (Wasilla Head Start)

To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role, providing and carrying out developmentally appropriate activities and care. To promote the health, nutrition, and education of the children enrolled in our Head Start programs and to attend to their safety and welfare.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Six months experience caring for preschool children preferably in a classroom

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work as team member with staff and parents
• Flexibility to work additional hours appreciated
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License, current auto insurance and a good driving record

GENERAL INFORMATION

Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hrs/wk), Part-Year (44 wks/yr) Salary: $17.45 – $23.27 per hour DOE and education.
