Job summary

The Gardner School in Schaumburg is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate curriculum for children from 6 weeks to 5 years. You will help maintain a safe, engaging classroom and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Starting pay ranges from $16.55 to $20.48 per hour based on education and experience, with benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) match, tuition discounts, holidays, and professional development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• 1+ years of experience with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Reliable attendance and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Provide nurturing guidance for emotional and behavioral development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Collaborate with teaching team and school leaders to ensure consistency.
