Job summary

Trinity College Community Child Center is seeking a qualified, full-time Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our dynamic team of Early Childhood Educators. In a classroom with 18 children, you will work with two fellow Teacher Assistants and a Lead Teacher to provide a curriculum that nurtures and stimulates development on the Trinity College campus in Hartford.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience working with children ages 3–5 in a childcare setting.
• CDA/12 credits in Early Childhood Education or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• 8 hour shift with a 45 minute paid lunch break.
• Monday to Friday schedule.
• Serve as a mandated reporter.
• Comply with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and Hartford Department of Children, Families Youth and Recreation policies.
• Observe all TC4 policies and procedures.
• Perform daily site safety checks and report issues to the Administrative Team.
• Follow National Association for the Education of Young Children Code of Ethical Conduct.
